Scores of talented singers, dancers and musicians entertained millions of people for an astonishing 27 years on one of television’s most enduring musical variety series, The Lawrence Welk Show. Join us as five original Musical Family members share the stage for one amazing show! Scheduled to perform are pianist Jo Ann Castle, dancers Bobby & Elaine, and vocalists Guy & Ralna.
The music was great when we got a chance to hear it. The piano player, Jo Ann Castle, seemed bizarre at times. She should stick to piano. Bobby & Elaine were fantastic!
We enjoy this show every year. Bobby and Elaine looked great together. Jo Ann Castle rambled. Her husband was very nice after the show.
One of our most enjoyable evenings in many outings.
The Stars of the L.W. Show are the best ever. They put their hears into their songs and dances. They also meet and greet their fans after the concert. Please have them back again in 2014.
Liked it Very Much
It's a great value for the ticket price! Singing, dancing, laughs, and fun.
We thoroughly enjoyed the show.
The show was Excellant. My husband and I are still in awe over how great it was.
SHOW IS VERY ENTERTAINING, HOWEVER PREFER SHOW BEING ON SATURDAY INSTEAD OF SUNDAY
Very good performances, a lot of show for the money.
It was wonderful! The pro former were open kind and very enjoyable.
The people on stage in the Lawrence Weld group are extremely talented singers and dancers. They are so personable that you feel like they are in your living room. It is a wonderful show!
It is always good to see that even "more mature" entertainers can still perform at a high level of excellence. Also, the "live" big band is always excelent!
Excellent entertainers and very personable. Spent lots of time with the audience after the show in the lobby. All the workers at the AMT could NOT be any nicer - they are helpful and extremely friendly.
It was a great show
Great show but the lighting on the left side of the theater was poor. Stage setup was not in the middle of the stage and we could not see them directly. Microphones and piano should have been in center stage. It was setup for the audience on the right side. The stars were great unfortunately the stage wasn't the best
They are a very talented group and very friendly. They make u feel like a family member. LOVE THEM ALL
It was very entertaining, the venue was lovely, the staff were excellant and most of all the acustics and seating were beyond my expectations.
We have enjoyed the Lawrence Welk TV programs for many, many years including the WITF reruns every Saturday night. We like their kind of music.
The music performed was excellent. The only drawback was the l-o-n-g commentaries by some, especially the pianist. People were actually walking out during her performance. 2 1/2 hours is too long for senior citizens!
I was disappointed in the show and I think my parents were as well.
It was a great show. We enjoyed the dancing, Jane Castle, and the wonderful songs that were sung after the intermission.
It was great entertainment, songs were familiar for all genres.
they were awesome. you certainly got your money,s worth.
Very entertaining afternoon - great performers
It was a great show
Best show we've seen from the Lawrence Welk people for several years
Stars of the Lawrence Welk Show are wonderful entertainers and all of them are so personable and friendly. My favorite kind of music!
First 2 acts drug on too long. Second half much better.
The performers were outstanding! They were also classy. Totally great entertainment good for the whole family. Loved the show!
The show was very professionally done and provided constant entertainment for almost 3 hours.
The show was just so awesome!! Thewhole show was just great and hope they continue to keep on performing.
The stars of Lawrence Welk are always great. This is the third tme my husband, Steve and I have seen them and each time they get better. Guy and Ralna make the show, it was so good to see Joanne Castle doing so well and now being married. I did miss Ken Delo not being the Master of Ceremonies but Bobby Burgess did okay. I am not too fond of the dancing but they did a nice job. Since they took the time to have people come up on the stage and dance, I wish Guy and Ralna would permit the audience to ask some questions about some of the previous stars of the Lawrence Welk show who have not attended with them. We know that some of them have gone "over the Rainbow Bridge" but I often wonder about others that were a part of the show. Just something to think about. We are hoping they will return again next year with Joanne Castle and her husband, Lynn Biviano -- what a trumpet player he is -- great, great, great. The show was wonderful and my husband and I were very pleased that we had traveled again to see the show from Pittsburgh.
Not so much LW but the Stars doing their own thing.
It was as wonderful as anticipated!
it was energetic, fun...bobby and elaine were great and ralna and guy still have the best voices! the only "slow" part of the show, unfortunately, was joanne. she is a great talent but was way too talky and repetitive.
The music was good, but Bobby and Elaine really need to hang up their dancing shoes. I'd rather watch the reruns on TV.
Broken in to 3 separate parts, the section devoted to Joanne playing the piano was above and beyond the best. If more time were given to her, the show would have been even more enjoyable. The beginning segment with the dancing seemed to drag a bit for me. The singing segment at the end was enjoyable, but I still preferred the piano segment the most.
Excellent talent; very entertaining
The Welk performers always give their all, and are always at the top of their game! Love the AMT!!
The Stars of the Lawrence Welk Show represents American Heritage at its finest. And being a part of the audience that truly enjoyed and appreciated the relationship and camaraderie between the stars on stage made the experience worth every penny.
Nice variety show. Guy and Rahlna are always good. Joanne Castle is back to her old self. Also enjoyed her husband. Great couple! Bobby & Elaine was a nice change from them just dancing. Enjoyed entire show.
We came to hear music, not a rambling attempt at humor. Bobby and Elaine seemed to remember that. Jo Ann didn't.
I loved getting Tom Netherton's autograph and my picture taken with him. I also enjoyed seeing joann Castle and Guy Hovis Live and in person I also enjoyed Getting Guy hovis's autograph on one of his cd's.
We are coming back again this year to see the Stars of the
L.W.Show. All entertainers are good performers. I've been
a Welk fan ever since they first came on ABC=TV, more than
50 years ago. It will be good to see JoAnn Castle, Bobby
and Elaine and Guy and Ralna.
Frances in Allentown
Would love to see Bob Ralston and Jo Ann Castle performing together. They are both so talented and have so much in common.
What talent the Welk people have! They are simply amazing. The show was too short. We could have listened to more . . .
Second half was good. The first half should have been without jokes. We cam e to hear music.
The first half spent too much time telling jokes
I have taken my dad twice to see the show at the AMT. Going back for more! Grew up with the show and now enjoy seeing them in person. Each show is just a little different, but the stars are awesome! Not only do they put on a wonderful show, but they spend time with the fans afterward. My dad is 90 and cant wait to go back to Lancaster!

On radio, in theaters, and in ballrooms, Big Bands were drawing record crowds during the 1940s Swing era. Vocal groups and soloists sang a repertoire of great songs, and for the last time in the 20th century, the entire country shared a common popular music. This body of song did much to...
