America fell in love with Scotty McCreery in 2011 when he appeared on Season Ten of American Idol, and in May of that year, was ultimately named the American Idolwinner. This fast-rising country star immediately made a name for himself with his deep and undeniably country voice, propelling his debut album “Clear as Day” to platinum status. In 2012, Scotty was named New Artist of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards.
Opening for Scotty will be local favorite, Stephanie Grace. This 16-year-old country singer from the Reading, PA area is making her mark in country music. Last year, Stephanie performed in Nashville during the CMA Music Festival and recently entertained fans at the local WIOV Fall Fest in October.
I loved the energy Scotty had during this performance. The band was entirely Too Loud and overwhelmed his voice at times. Your theatre is too small for all the noise coming from the instruments. It was a great show, only wish some of the words could be heard above the band. Pointing those bright lights in your eyes is not what we paid for either. Lights should be shown on stage, not in audiences eyes to blind them.
Fan on American Idol and will follow this up and coming country star.....
He did a fantastic show.
I love Scotty McCreery!
this was the first time I ever saw Scotty perform and he was amazing to say the least.
I thought Scotty did an exceptional job.He seems so down to earth and knows who got him to where he is today(his fans). He knows how to "work the crowd".I just loved the show.
This concert was fabulous, Scotty is such a pleasant and funny guy! Loved it!
Good family entertainment for people of all ages. I took my 14 year old daughter and she loved it. Not a bad seat in the house. Loved the leg room and cup holders at the seats and the seats were comfy. Accoustics were awesome too!
Great performer but sound system was too loud.
totally awesome show! My granddaughter LOVED it.
Show was fantastic. The only problem was we could not understand words Scotty was singing/saying because the bass was too loud.
Scotty is so much better hearing him live than on the radio or tv.
The show was fabulous!! So much fun!! There is not a bad seat in the house!
Scotty seems to be a fine young man who has a big talent. He has become quite a showman.
the show was great, but we were very disappointed that Scotty did not come out to the lobby after the show. We have been to other shows and concerts at AMT and that is one of the draws for us. Very disappointed!!
Scotty is a great enternainer
Excellent concert and venue. We enjoyed every aspect of our visit including the friendliness of the ushers!
It was awesome!
to loud .he has a great voice and the band drown him out
what a voice!! great show
Non-stop musical entertainment. Scotty sang his butt off and the band was outstanding.
Scotty and his band put on a great entertaining show for all that attended. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Scotty put on a fantastic show. He really delivered some great entertainment. Some of the sound was too loud to hear Scotty's lryics. I find this true at most of the AMC shows. Most of your shows would be more enjoyable with the music sound toned down a little SO THAT YOU CAN HEAR THE SINGERS VOICE.
Scotty was very good... I especially like him singing the Elvis, Johnny Cash songs..he needs to do more of them...
Scotty puts on an a great show
The show wasn't what we expected. The sound was way too loud so much so that you could not understand the words being sung. My ears were ringing for the rest of the night after the show because of the excess volume.
Scotty performed an excellent super professional concert! I loved every minute of it. Enjoyed his quality clean demeanor and winning personality. The show had a great pace and variety. I appreciate Scotty's Christian values and testimony. My wife and I would welcome the AMT's continued commitment to booking these types of artists. We were also very pleased again by the excellent customer service provided by your box office personnel. Renee is one of our favorite customer service reps. I do have one suggestion regarding the evening. The opening act singer prior to Scotty's performance was very mediocre to say the least. I'm sure that she is a lovely person and she expressed herself very graciously as she performed. However, the quality of her singing left much to be desired. She was just "okay". In my opinion, it would have been better to have eliminated her act and to have just started right in with Scotty. His show was a good length and would have been enough for the evening. Again, thank you for bringing Scotty to the theater. I would be glad if he had a return engagement and would gladly buy a ticket!
It was an enjoyable evening suitable for ALL ages .He provided a wholesome, down to earth show which evenyone could enjoy.
One of the most entertaining shows. I saw Scotty last time he was at AMT and this year by far was better. He has become a more rounded performer and has a wonderful voice. He is so sincere. The only issue that I would have would be the fact that the bass/sound was very loud. Other than that, everything was great. I would come back to see him perform again.
Nice mix of songs sung by Scotty. Interesting stories that he tells. Like the connection between Scotty and World Vision. Like that he thanks the audience for his success, that he does not swear or talk about drinking and sexual issues like some other singers do.
Scotty was a great performer
it was our first time at the theatre and we thoroughly enjoyed the show.
I think Scotty is a fantastic singer and that he has grown as an artist with great stage presence in a relatively short time His band was way too loud!!
It's just a "great" show.
I was so impressed by Scotty's performance - very mature; well organized; seemed very comfortable/personable with the audience and his band. The background videos during the performance were a great addition as they were relevant to the songs. The audience was courteous to Scotty and each other and well controlled. I wish I could have gotten my seats earlier but they were still very good.
Scotty is a great young artist only problem was the lead in act she was terrible and most of the people in the area we were sitting had the same opinion
Loved Scotty but the first singer was not good and it took to long before Scotty came on. He was great though and gave a good show.
Outstanding show. A class act
He is a Christian young man that appeals to all ages!!!!Scotty is a very great performer and singer. However, you should never have Sarah Grace open for him or anyone again. There were a number of negative comments in the audience!
Fantastic concert and venue.
up coming star that was excellent. He was even better than the first time around.
We have loved Scotty since first saw him on American Idol. He is a talented singer, great performer, but even more importantly a young man who honors his family and faith.
This young man is a true country music entertainer. His music doesn't sway to other aspects such as some of the country music folks have tried to do. If I wanted to listen to RAP music I'd turn off my country music and listen to it but I don't like it and Scotty has my kind of music. My wife and I purchased ticket for our grandchildren and we were pleased with what he presented. Thank you folks for having him and I'd recommend his show to all my friends. By the way the American Music Theater is a great place and I hope to get back there soon!!
We though Scotty did a great job and enjoyed his performance.
Scotty was very energetic and entertaining! I love his concert and the excitement and love of what he does is infectious.
I thought the show was excellence, he did a great job. The only complain I had was I thought the base was to loud and you couldn't hear some of the words he was singing. It would have been more enjoyable with a lower base.
He was wonderful! Great performer
Because he put on an amazing show it was every entertaining!
i feel Scotty did a great job at entertaining the fans, i'm an older person and i like country music and Scotty's part of the show was really good, a little too loud for me, but that's the way the younger fans like it. the opening act, she should have been dressed a little better than jean shorts and a little back up music other than guitar
Because Scotty is the best...i've seen him twice at AMT and will go again if he comes back.
Enjoyed it very much! Was a super clean show. The only thing wrong was it was too loud and could not understand the words to the most of the songs..
This show was an 11 on a scale of 1-10! Scotty is an awesome singer and really gives his all for his audience.
Scotty is a AWESOME and his band as well! And the staff also were very helpful. thank u for making my first visit to American Music Theatre a memorble one!
outstanding performer and "not a bad seat in the house"
High energy great show.
We had a great time at the show.Scotty was awesome. If you want to hear loud music head on out to the big concerts, but take your ear plugs. This was mild.''We loved it'
I think it was a great show cannan smith the opener for scotty was amazing and very friendly (thanks for the hat cannan) i was dissapointed after the concert because they said scotty was going to come out and sign autographs and everything a lot of his fans were dissapointed when he didnt come out because we waited there for a long time. Im going to the one this year and i hooe he signs autographs and everything because i was dissapointed in that. overall it was a great concert and i cant wait to see him this year!!!! :)
I attended the Scotty McCreery show and thought all of it was excellent. I am a bit surprised by all of the comments about the bass, or the band, being too loud, and the comments about the lights flashing in their eyes. Maybe these folks didn't realize that this was a country/rock concert featuring a young, hip act in a small theatre. This is what real, current concerts look and sound like. Keep bringing these kind of shows back, AMT!
I felt the tickets were much more expensive then other venues we go to for shows.
I hope you have him back next year. I would also like to see Scotty & Lauren together at the concert.
He is an amazing performer.
This young man is an excellent entertainer, however AMT could have done him more justice with a little less bass. It seemed to be rattling the sound system (and my ears).
very loud band
Great show...What a talented and fine young man.
I do not understand why there were a bunch of old people there when it was meant for a younger crowd and it was more like a show than a concert which made it boring.
Scotty did a great job. We just love him. We also liked Canaan Smith. We had never heard of him previously, but we enjoyed his music. We would definately come to another show if you brought them back.
Excellent show and performer
The sound system was not clear. It was often times difficult to understand Scotty when he was talking. As when he was singing the band would drown him out.
He is a great performer but the band was so loud that often we couldn't understand what he was saying or singing. He was best with just the guitar. Enjoyed the opening act--very creative.
we really enjoyed the show. The only complaint we would have is that times the band drowned out Scotty, but overalll we really enjoyed the show.
The show was awesome but I do think that they staff/management/band etc could have let people know that scotty was not coming out the door to the bus at the end...left everyone waiting for hours - not good.
Once again, the background music was too loud -- our seats were vibrating from the bass player, and it made it hard to understand the lyrics. Performers should understand that in the smaller theaters, it doesn't need to be this loud.
Overall we enjoyed the concert, but, would have enjoyed it more if the music wasn't so loud. It sounded as though they were playing an outdoor concert.
Was not fond of the blasting of lights into my face and it seemed like it was long before I could focus again on the singer and band (need to shorten the timing of lights)
I did not enjoy the opening act at all. I thought his songs were all very trashy.
The background music was so loud that you could not hear the words to Scotty's songs. They only part that was really enjoyable was when he sang with just the guitar player.
Amt, always first class
Better security to make the guest feel more safe. e.i. Tell fans to LEAVE, not have them wait for 1 hour.
Too loud and too bright! We chose to leave early due to the extremely loud volume and flashing lights which occasionally blinded you. Also, it was difficult at times to really hear Scotty McCreery's beautiful voice because it was overpowered by instrumentalists.
Scotty was fantastic but now that I heard Canaan I would come to see just him also!
Really liked the concert except the drums were loud it drowned out Scottie's word to his songs!
Scotty was great. Bass was entirely to loud. At times it sounded like the bass player was trying to be the star.
For such a young entertainer he interacted very well with the audience.
The band was so loud that Scotty's great singing voice was drowned out, and could not be heard well, not to mention the ringing in my own ears for days after the show.
Really Really Loud, Had to wear hearing protection
Wonderful concert!Hope you can get him again next year!!!
It was a geat experience because usually I go to Philly to see artists like that and It was much more relaxing and less stressful. I was able to sit back & enjoy the show.
it was awesume show, scotty is a great performer, also cacnaan smith was also excelleny
Music was too loud and revolving spotlights were blinding, or Scotty's show would get 5 stars. He was great.
few fans with ipads blocking views while recording, band a little over powering the singer
Music way too loud-couldn't understand the words. Only one hour of Scotty!!
However the acoustics could have been improved upon-It felt like the bass was rocking our seats
Scotty and his great singing was everything I expected and much more. He is a very talented and humble young man. I loved the show.
I thought he was fanastic for being so young and the music was great.
AMAZING SHOW! Please get him back next year. i will be sure to be there! hopefully closer!
The accoustics were not good for this show. The music was so loud that you could not hear any of the words that Scotty was singing whic was too bad.
Perhaps people could enter the theater earlier.
Great experience, my daughters and I had a girls night out!
Music was so loud we couldn't hear Scotty singing
great show great theatre we are from n.y. and drove down for the concert. Had a great time.
Great show. Good opening act!!
It was a great show but a little to loud. Almost was unable to hear the words of the song because of music. The seats were vibrating with the base volume.
Canaan Smith was fantastic, and great leadin for Scotty!
Like the idea of security baring anyone from standing in front of the stage. When you let people stand in front of the stage, other people that have paid cannot see. This happens at many concerts. We enjoy AMT because everyone stays seated and everybody can see.
AUDIENCE WAS TOO SUBDUED AND NOT SUPPORTIVE OF SCOTTY COMPARED TO OTHER PERFORMANCES I HAVE ATTENDED
For being such a young performer and new in the business Scott put on a great show. I think he was the perfect entertainer for the Lancaster County area. His values, family and God all represent the values of most of the residents of this area.
The volume could have been a lot lower, especially the bass. It made it difficult to understand some of the words.
What a voice.
Very good show, however band was extemely loud which overpowered Scotty's performance.
Scotty was great. What a talent. We would attend another Scotty McCreery concert anytime. The only complaint I have is one I have with all your big shows, The background music is a little too much to hear the vocals of the singer. Your Country Classics background music was much better. You could actually hear the voices of the singers.
I felt the band was too loud and it was very difficult to hear Scotty's voice.
nice small venue. all seats are good. friendly staff. sound quality is excellent
I bought tickets for my husband to see Scotty because he really enjoyed him American Idol. The music was so loud we could not understand the words and this was soooo disappointing. The acoustic part was the best part. And only one hour of Scotty. For what I paid I expected a bit more than that. All that said; Scotty is a wonderful gifted young man and we hope he keeps his humble nature and goes far in country music.
Scotty did a great job! The concert was amazing! Love his voice, he is handsome!.....I did not want the concert to end, just wanted him to keep singing and singing, could listen to him all day. He definitely has to come back next year! I will be there!
Scotty did a great job. He has a great voice and connected with the audience right away. The only negative was the sound. It was so loud that the lyrics and individual instrumentals were often drowned out by the loud bass and drums. I hope Scotty returns to AMT next year.
SCOTTY IS ABSOLUTELY ONE OF THE BEST .... COULD LISTEN TO HIS
INCREDIBLE VOICE ALL DAY LONG .... CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HIM IN
I am not a country music fan, but Scotty is the best. I could listen to his music anytime. I hope to see him in concert.
He's charming, sweet, handsome, and he has the best voice ever,he gets five stars from me,great album.love this fella can't wait for the concert.
