Contemporary country singer Rodney Atkins has an impressive track record with hitting on sentiments that strike a chord with the country music listener. He’s had six #1 hits from his first three albums, from “Watching You,” “If You’re Going Through Hell,” and “These Are My People,” to his most recent smashes, “Take a Back Road,” and “Farmer’s Daughter.”
Prior to Rodney’s headlining appearance, audiences will be treated to a few tunes from country singer/songwriter Josh Thompson. Josh’s songs are about real life love, anger, hurt, loss, and raw emotions. His “Beer on the Table” became a Top 40 country single.
Opening the evening’s concert will be up-and-coming country singer/songwriter Tyler Farr. Tyler has toured extensively with Colt Ford, for whom Tyler wrote the song, “Hey Y’all,” as well as opening for Jerrod Niemann and Lee Brice.
Rodney is a great performer
Had a wonderful time. The singers were very interactive and friendly with crowd.
The show was very short.
He doesn't interact enough with the fans and seems self absorbed.
Rodney was very personable and highly energetic
Small venue, had a great time
Great show, lots of energy, paid s lot of attention to the fans.
Rodney was, as usual, great!!!
His musice was not what I considered Country, it sounded more like a heavy metal bank, was not impressed with his show or the band that opened for him.
I really enjoyed Rodney Atkins performance. It was great seeing him in a smaller venue. There appeared to be no bad seats. I have been the AMT before, but not for a concert. I brought 2 friends who had never been there and did not know there was concerts at AMT (one of them did not know AMT existed). They loved it and we will all be back.
We really liked the Rodney Atkins part of the show. HE WAS GREAT. We didn"t like the 2 opening acts.
THE WHOLE SHOW WAS PLAYED WITH NO LEAD GUITAR.I WOULD HAVE PREFERRED THEM TO STOP THE SHOW AND ADDRESS THE PROBLEM INSTEAD OF PRETENDING TO PLAY . I COULD HAVE STOOD THERE STRUMMING NOTHING.
He had a great show-just too loud.
Way too loud. Could hardly understand any of the singer's words.
Great place to see a show
Fun, energetic, down to earth! Rodney Atkins music speaks to all of us!
The sound system was too amped for our taste--thought it was supposed to be a country music show (used ear plugs provided by the theatre and even they did not help).
great music, fun night
Country music to me is about the story. The music was so loud we could not hear the words and therefore missed the story. We bought a cd before the show and were able to enjoy it because we could hear the words.
I thought the show was good and we enjoyed the opening acts as well but he did not play very long and the sound (vocals) were very hard to hear over the music
Seen Rodney Atkins at a fair and then I appreciated the artist that he is. His performance is nonstopping and he gives much more than what you paid to see him. He is a country boy and a very nice person. Great choice at having him at AMT.
