Open Call Auditions for all roles in Amazing Grace: The True Story written by Christopher Smith and produced by Barnabas Theatre Productions, which makes its World Premier debut in May 2009 at The American Music Theatre in Lancaster, PA.

General Cast requirements:
- Must have strong acting ability; able to speak with an English accent from the mid 1700’s.
- Must not have a fear of heights (Men)
- Must be available for rehearsals beginning February 2009 as well as all performances; May 2 September 30, 2009
Children’s Requirements:
- Voice must not have changed
- Must have strong acting ability
- Must look like a child 8-12 years old

Actors should prepare a song in the similar musical style of the show; Les Miserables & The Secret Garden. NO pop or rock songs please & you will NOT be asked to dance at this time. You will be asked to fill out an application when you arrive. Please bring a non-returnable headshot and resume.

Stage Manager
Immediate opening for FULL-TIME Stage Manager. The Stage Manager is responsible for the management and supervision our production crew, including sound, lights, stage and other vendors and subcontractors. The Stage Manager is also responsible for assisting in the planning and development of in-house and celebrity shows. This position oversees all department areas, including workshops, FOH/BOH, etc. in order to maintain safety, organization and cleanliness within the production department. The Stage Manger is also responsible for ensuring the quality, consistency and highest possible production values for all shows.
The ideal candidate will have Stage Managerment experience in a similar sized venue, as well as, strong technical, managerial and organizational skills. Must be available to work a combination of day, evening and weekend hours scheduled around our show times.

Lead Seamstress (M/F)
Immediate opening for FULL-TIME lead seamstress in our wardrobe department. Duties include working with our Costume Designer to construct/alter costumes & assist with fittings, repairs and costume maintenance. Must be team oriented, flexible and possess strong sewing skills in terms of both construction and alterations. Must be available to work a combination of day, evening and weekend hours scheduled around our show times. Costuming/theatre experience is preferred. American Music Theatre, a $10 million, 1,600-seat, professional non-Equity theatre located in Lancaster, PA, is always accepting videotape and audiotape audition submissions. The season begins in April and runs through December, consisting of two shows. singers, please include two vocal selections of contrasting styles. Dancers, please include tap, ballet and jazz and if a singer/dancer, include all above requirements. All ethnic backgrounds are encouraged to submit. All positions salaried; housing available.
