Emmy winning comedian Dana Carvey was a repertory member of Saturday Night Live and is best known for his SNL characters The Church Lady, Hans (of the Hans and Franz bodybuilding duo,) Garth, the “Excellent Cohost” on the “Wayne’s World” sketches, and Weekend Update’s Grumpy Old Man. In addition to his uncanny and exaggerated comedic impersonations of political figures and entertainment icons, Carvey is known for the films This is Spinal Tap, Opportunity Knocks, Wayne’s World, Wayne’s World 2, Trapped in Paradise, and The Road to Wellville.
Dana Carvey was hilarious and it was so cool to see him in person!!
great Venue, sound was normally great... had some trouble early part of show.... maybe just me
Dana Carvey was VERY funny. We really enjoyed the show!
I could handel the language better than some of my relationships,exspecially... taking our Lords name in vane.Even though Dana said it only once or twice that is one thing I can`t handel.
I loved the show and thought he was hilarious.
AS MUCH AS I LOVE DANA CARVEY, HIS MATERIAL IS NOT WHAT I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE. I HAD HOPED HE WOULD REVIVE A LOT OF HIS SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE ROUTINES, BUT I GUESS WITHOUT SOMEONE ELSE TO FEED OFF OF, IT WAS NOT DO ABLE!
we love that guy
Not too long, not to short; funny start to finish. Good momentum; ranged from classic favorites to new material and stream-of-consciousness improv. Content and language were a little edgy at times but not too foul for my tastes. So I really enjoyed the performance.
The show was a very enjoyable evening for my husband and I. Dana had us laughing so much.
it was hilarious!! Family - friendly for the most part. Started ON TIME, and he had high energy! Excellent show!
Top quality entertainer
It was geared to an older generation that may appreciate the jokes. A younger crowd wouldn't relate as well.
Nice facility and Dana was very funny
because Dana was extremely funny and we really enjoyed his humor.
It was funny
Dana Carvey was a blast from the past. We expected to see Church Lady in full regalia which would have made this a 10. Now that we have seen Miller and Carvey, how about Lovitz?
Dana Carvey was really funny! Very responsive to the audience and a great entertainer. We really appreciated the early showtime and no opening act, as we were home in time to put our kids to bed!
While I enjoyed the show, I didn't enjoy it quite as much as I anticipated. There were times that he was difficult to understand, and there was a lot of political characterization.
Dana was very entertaining. A great show I highly recommend.
I think a lot of people could not hear his punch lines either he wasn't clear with his voice or the sound symtem needs to be improved. My husband does have a hearing problem so i expected him to say you picked up more than me. When he play and sang you could hear him.
Too political and he did not do enough of the characters he was known for.
Funny funny guy! My mouth hurt from laughing so hard! Enjoyed hearing Dana's real life stories & view on visit to Lancaster Amish Country. Unlike many comedians from 70's/80's--he is still going strong & keeping it respectable. Can't wait until he returns.
Great....adjusted for the audience
He was funny and not gross.
Really good show
We love Dana
comedy was old favorites and also current . Made jokes about the area which makes it personal. We were belly laughing , as were the folks around us. Please book him again.
he was great, loved his impressions.
Because he is very funny and did 90 minutes of standup
He puts on a great show.
Carvey was HILARIOUS! Nice, laid back, nothing to make your blood pressure go up...just good, clean fun. Not bad on a gee-tar, either.
He was absolutely hilarious. I laughed the entire time.
It was extremely funny. What a great comedian!
He was awesome!!! Just a great show!! I would see him again in a minute! The only thing that would have made it any better would have been more of the Church Lady.
Dana Carvey is a very entertaining guy
His show did no focus on the characters that made him popular in the first place.
It was a funny and engaging show from a skilled comedian.
Dana Carvey is a terrific comedian. Ulike many of today's comedians, he doesn't need to use constant profanity in an attempt to be funny. His impersonations and wide range of material made for a very entertaining evening.
Dana Carvey is the best! I laughed so much!
This was my first time to the American Music Theatre and it was a great time! Dana Carvey was hilarious and the theatre was first class!
I think Dana Carvey is one of the most talented products of SNL. He is also one of the most underappreciated. He kept us laughing throughout the entire show.
I couldn't stop laughing.
Dana was very funny and entertaining.
Seemed expensive for the content and duration of the show. He seemed to be stretching the material to fill the time, and thought the entire show was very average.
Mr. Carvey was extremely funny without having to use a series of nasty expletives. The few that he did use were sort of common in everday conversation. His show moved well without being too long or too short/
enjoyed the show , funny without being mean or having to listen to foul language....Thank you very much
Funny, and very entertaining
Dana was Great and talked about the area we live in !!
Dana Carvey is a professional. Not only was he hilarious, he was in tune with the audience and their reactions to his material. His material was totally current, and I loved his local cultural references.
Dana's performance was nothing short of outstanding! He brought an excellent balance of nostalgic material and fresh substance for which I have new reasons to love Dana's work. I hope Dana returns to AMT!
I enjoyed the show. However, the talent was not quite as expected. Also, it was a little hard to hear every word.
Dana Carvey gives a great performance and AMT doesn't have a bad seat! Great acoustics and really nice employees. Small venues are the way to go--really hate those large arena shows--so impersonal, so claustrophobic!
Funny, some laughs, but not his best work? And we did NOT appreciate the use of the "f" word..that didn't seem to add any humor imo. We really don't like crude jokes either. His show could have been a bit smoother. He seemed somewhat unsure of his routine.
Loved it!! Great show! My whole group loved it. Honestly he was funnier and more entertaining than we expected!
It was funny, but a little too much political satire.
