The AMT – ACM Connection
It was fun to see two of our upcoming celebrities appear on the 47th annual Academy of Country Music Awards Show on Sunday, April 1. On the show, actor, comedian, banjo player Steve Martin paid tribute to the late banjo pioneer Earl Scruggs, and singer Scotty McCreery, reigning American Idol winner, was crowned ACM New Artist of the Year. Both performers will take the AMT stage in the next couple of months; it will be the first appearance here for both. On Friday, May 25, we’re excited that Steve Martin arrives to perform with the Steep Canyon Rangers. During the ACM Awards show, Steve demonstrated his banjo expertise, hitting the...

The Beatles Are Everywhere
On a recent Facebook post, we posed the question “Who do you like best: The Beatles or Rolling Stones,” and, not surprisingly, The Beatles came out well ahead of the other infamous 60’s era British group. The timing was pretty convenient since our June 20 Ringo Starr show had just gone on sale. The show is sure to be extremely professional and fun, and it’s been lighting up our phone lines for the past week. Needless to say, we’re pretty excited to bring the iconic drummer back to our stage. Given all of the love for The Beatles here in Central PA, we thought it’d be fun to find out how our upcoming performers...

15 Seasons … And Counting
Born from a dream and built on the historic 7-acre lot of The Willows Restaurant & Motel, three local entrepreneurs broke ground for American Music Theatre in September, 1996. The comprehensive project required a city of construction professionals who worked around the clock, seven days a week. In less than seven months, there stood a 55,000 square foot, 1,600-seat theatre with a breathtaking lobby, state-of-the-art sound and lighting for the 56-foot stage, and extra wide aisles with over-sized seats to ensure the most comfortable and intimate entertainment experience in the area. The Theatre soon emerged as one of Lancaster’s...
