Thanks to their fine-tuned choreography, and even finer harmonies, The Temptations became one of the most successful acts to record for Motown Records. During the group’s five-decade career, these Grammy winners have charted numerous #1 hits including “My Girl,” “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg,” “Get Ready,” “Just My Imagination,” and “Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone,” among many others. The Four Tops teamed up in high school and spent over four decades without a single personnel change to become one of Motown’s most consistent hit makers. “Baby I Need Your Loving,” “I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch),” “Reach Out (I’ll Be There),” and “Ain’t No Woman (Like the One I’ve Got),” are just some of their well-known hits.
Four Tops were very good but the Temptations only offered about 35 minutes of actual music. The theatre is great.
it was terrific. lots of fun and fond memories of our youth.
The Four Tops were very entertaining, but the Temps, I was a little disappointed. It seemed that they spent more time on themselves and the band than performing.
It was too loud at times. It was difficult to hear words, and was too long! The 4 Tops were better than the Temptations.
Thought the show was good, but the vocals were to loud which made it hard to understand the lyrics
Enjoyed the 4 Tops very much. I did not enjoy the Temptations as much. They need to stay with their original songs. The loudness of the overall music was much too loud for the room. Actually hurt our ears.
The Temptations and Four Tops were great but the Band was so loud, it overpowered the singers. We could hardly hear what they were singing. The Band should be the background not the lead.
Band sound level overpowered the singers, to the point song lyrics were garbled!
Temptations lead singer was hard to understand.
The groups were very entertaining. Anyone who enjoys Motown era music would love the show.
show was good but the heat in the theater was unbearable. Usher could not help. probably will never return
Songs were great and the guys were fun to watch, but the sound was loud and muddy. Most lyrics and comments were unintelligible. This really diminished the experience.
Four Tops were excellent, though Temptations changed their songs too much, came to hear the original songs. The break between the shows was way too long!!!!
Nice show, not over priced
It was an all around, fun and upbeat show! The artists really encouraged audience participation and it was clear they really enjoyed entertaining us!
Got this as a Christmas present for my parents, they had a absolute blast at this show!
Band overpowered the singers, sound quality in the balcony was not good.
Show was great
Four tops were terrific. Temptations were good, but too loud and too much screaming by their lead vocalist.
The background music was so loud that you could not hear the singers. We were disappointed in the show.
You have a great venue. Not so big that you get lot in the crowd. I can't imagine a bad seat in the house.
The old songs and groups are the BEST.
Pretty great seating where it seems there isn't a bad seat in the theatre.
WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN A MORE FUN SHOW, PERFORMANCES WERE GREAT
Thought the band was too loud. Had trouble hearing the vocals.
Great sings, singers sound awesome, loads of fun!
The venue is nice, good seats everywhere, great performance especially by The Temptations.
Great sings, singers sound awesome, loads of fun!
Great theatre - sound is good - variety of concerts is commendable.
The venue is a great spot with excellent entertainment. Coming from Hbg. makes it very convenient. Seating is very good and the stage can be seen from anywhere in the theater. I did think the band was extremely loud, especially with the Temps. It was difficult to understand what they were singing let alone what they were saying when speaking to the audience. Also, the balcony could have stood a little air.
Quality of sound was terrible
Just as great as the originals.
Great performances by both groups.
Great Groups that are as good as ever- I have seen the Tempts over 30 times, just great
show was great, I do not like ticket fees for tickets you order and print yourself, ushers are often rude (although others are very nice) and you have no drop off at the door for those who can not easily walk from the lot. You have a large portion of your customers that are elderly yet there seems to be not much accommodation for that. Lastly, at some shows you leave the doors to the seating closed (such as this weekend) so you have to get there early to park yet stand for extensive time in the lobby crowded in - since we had an elderly person with us this is not easy. I see many of your customers are elderly or handicapped and they are forced to stand for long periods or come late and walk from the lot across the street! We may stop coming just because of the inconvenience.
the only disappointment was the length of time for the intermission - it felt like it was dragged out on purpose to get people to spend money on concessions and in the gift shop - a 20 minute intermission would be the most I would have expected
it was high energy good singing and entertaining from performers.
It was great
row r seat107&106, handicap seating was directly in front of us & @ same level thereby obstructing our clear view of the stage.
Very disappointed at not being able to hear singers because the musicians drowned out their voices. The music was so loud in the balcony that we understood the words to only a few songs of each group. It was very frustrating. Also, is was so hot in balcony that I was perspiring. Since we could not hear the songs, we settled for enjoying the choreography. Don't know if the sound issue was that the musicians played too loud or it was because of your amplification system.
The band and Base were too loud, if you didn't know the words to a song the music drowned out the singing and you couldn't understand the words. Also when only one person was speaking and introducing the band/orchestra you couldn't hear what was being said. I am 48 years old and do not have a hearing problem and the other people sitting around us felt the same way.I am coming to see Vince Gill next month and I hope I'm not dissapointed because of the sound system.
WHAT A STAGE PRESENTCE
Love these groups!!!!
I thought the show was one of the best I have ever seen.
Four Tops were sensational. But very disappointed in the Temptations. Too much talking (30 minutes of introductions) And the lead singer did more shouting than singing.
The music was so loud that you could not hear or understand the singing. Especially for the Tempations lead singer's screaming. I have seen both shows before, but this was the worst because of the loud music.
The dancing alone is worth it. The harmony is out of this world. Brings back many memories from the 1950's. Can't wait to be there in person. J.J.
