Forming in 1984, country super-group Diamond Rio can boast three platinum records, four CMA awards, two ACM awards and 13 Grammy nominations. Their 1991 smash, “Meet in the Middle,” reached #1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, making Diamond Rio the first country music group in history to reach #1 with a debut single. The band followed up with 32 more chart singles, including four more #1 hits – “How Your Love Makes Me Feel,” “One More Day,” “Beautiful Mess,” and “I Believe.”
“That Rock Won’t Roll,” “I’ll Still Be Loving You,” “Why Does It Have to Be (Wrong or Right),” “Wheels,” “Bluest Eyes in Texas,” “A Tender Lie,” and “Tell Me What You Dream.” The five-part harmony of legendary country music group Restless Heart helped lift each of these songs to the top of the Billboard country charts. Restless Heart has earned multiple Grammy, CMA and ACM award nominations, was named ACM Vocal Group of the Year in 1990, and put 26 songs on the country charts.
Diamond Rio & Restless Heart - Two amazing bands that remind me what "country" was when I first fell in love with it. As each song plays it takes you back to where you were, who you were with, and what you were doing at that period of time. Beautiful lyrics that stay with you long after the songs are over. So excited to have the opportunity to see these groups perform again . . .it's been far too long!! Did I mention the fellas are all still great looking too!?
