A celebrated singer/songwriter from the UK, David Gray has etched his way into the eyes and hearts of American homes over the past couple of decades. His UK chart-topper, White Ladder, garnered him the reigning title for “best selling album in Ireland ever,” and included his international breakthrough hit “Babylon.” Gray’s unmistakable voice, along with his use of acoustic instruments, blend perfectly together to produce his one-of-a-kind, alternative/pop rock sound.
Opening for David Gray will be Northern Ireland born singer/songwriter Foy Vance. Vance draws his musical inspirations from both British folk traditions and American gospel, blues and soul.
Great show, would love to see him back at AMT!
One of the best concerts I've been to-FANTASTIC!
David gave a pretty good effort, but seemed anxious to get out of there after his one-song encore.
I thought the venue and acoustics were great - this was our first visit. Parking was easy. The experience was lowered because of a lackluster crowd - out of your control. Mr. Gray was not too personable at the onset, but he warmed up. We're a fan of XPN music, and love the intimate setting your venue provides for artists. Keep them coming.
The AMT is just a wonderful experience and the perfect musical venue.
Foy Vance was excellent and David Gray was just out of sight awesome.
Time between performers was long - otherwise I would have given 5 stars
The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful from the moment we entered the parking lot!
Davd Gray was excellent. The sound was of the vocals was very poor, which definitely affected my experience.
Great music, Great venue! Hassle free.
The crowd was a little tame. I felt like we couldn't get out of our seats and dance.
OMG!!! David Gray is awesome!
David is a true talent. We have seen him before in Philly a few years ago. The sound seemed to be a bit off at times though. Could not understand his opening act. No idea what that guy was singing.
Both the opening act of Foy Vance and the main show of David Gray were excellent. Terrific venue to watch a show.
David Gray is Awesome! This is the second time my husband andI have gone to see him! He has raw, natural talent :). Couldn't possibly put on a bad performance!
The best concert I have ever seen!
this is the kind of act that will draw people from where i live --
One of the best shows at AMT!
Love the spacious seating and ample and convenient parking.
One of the best shows I've ever seen
The sound was not good at all. I have been to many venues and this stuck out as poor. There was too much sound bouncing around. I couldn't hear David's voice.
One of best performances I've seen at AMT
The lighting for botht he opening and main act was very poor. At no time could you actually see them. I realize this may have been the lighting provided by the acts but it was bad. Same with the sound. Very muffled and the lyrics were lost in the overpowering instruments and muffled sound
Great acoustics. Show started promptly. Cheap candy prices.
He was amazing...Great venue for an outstanding performer. Loved the light show, the band and David's love of singing his hits and covering others.
It was so nice to see an artist locally that I would typically have traveled to Baltimore or Philly.
My first time at this venue.
Too many people were seated late-- more than 10-15 minutes -- they should be made to wait. Period.
First time at facilty. Clean and comfortable facility, ample parking, excellent staff.
Not only was David Gray terrific, but Foy Vance was absolutely fabulous as well!
The general sound in the room was "boxy" for the first few songs but then seemed to level out and becom more "full" as the show went on.
The venue was beautiful and intimate however the show was too conservative. The crowd was too quiet and sat the entire time. I expected to be dancing and cheering. It was just too quiet for a show of that type.
amazing place...very intimate & the sound was perfect! can't wait to come again to another show!
The venue is a 'sit and watch' kind of venue. The layout/vibe doesn't promote interaction from the crowd.
If you can get David Gray or Foy Vance (who opened the show) again, BOOK IT!!!!
Great venue with a kind and courteous staff
Exceptional artist in a venue with no "bad" seats and excellent sound. What a concert should be...
I am answering this survey as if I were my date. She is a David Gray fan. I had never heard of him beofre this concert. I didn't like what I heard. She thought it was good but wished he would have played the songs that got him there and not so much of his new stuff.
I wish you would book more acts of this level, though I understand the challenges and costs.
We loved David Gray. He exceeded our expectations. We also loved Foy Vance. It was too loud when DG first came out. That seemed better after the first song. He should have introduced the band though.
small venue, good feel for this type of show. Husband & I were celebrating our anniversary, and wanted to get a drink. Were disappointed to find it a dry venue.
Couldn't always understand the words. Sound seemed muffled and the band overpowered the singer.
I have traveled to New Jersey, New York and will be going to Baltimore to see David Gray. PLEASE get him back again!
Would have given it a 5 star rating, however I thought the instrumental part of the show was too loud. It would have sounded much better if it was just turned down a bit. David vocals were excellent though!
He is a fabulous musician and your venue was the perfect place for him to play.
