The Capitol Steps began as a group of Senate staffers who set out to satirize the very people and places that employed them. Since 1981, the group has been creating song parodies and skits pulled from the headlines of the day, and convey a special brand of satirical humor all their own. Together, The Capitol Steps have worked in a total of 18 Congressional offices and represent 62 years of collective House and Senate staff experience. Spend an evening with The Capitol Steps – the comedy troupe who puts the “mock” in democracy!
