Christmas Show

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the show run?
The 2011 Christmas Show
runs approximately two hours and 15 minutes, which includes a 15 minute intermission.

How is this year’s show different than previous Christmas Shows?
Except for a number of returning Cast and Orchestra members, every year’s Christmas Show is all-new, and completely different than the previous years’ shows.  This year’s show, “Winter Wonderland,” has a beautiful outdoor theme, stunning new costumes, wonderful arrangements of favorite songs and a warm, cozy feel.  Each year we strive to create a fresh, new production that represents that year’s overall theme in music, scenery, lighting, costumes, and décor.

What are some of the songs featured in the show this year?
There are a whopping 34 songs in this year’s show!  We’ve included many traditional Christmas carols like “Away in a Manger,” “Mary, Did You Know,” “Angels We Have Heard on High,” “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen,” and “O Come, O Come Emmanuel.”  There are also a number of contemporary favorites like “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” “Silver Bells,” “Santa Claus is Coming to Town,” “Sleigh Ride,” and “White Christmas.”

Are some of my favorite cast members in the show?
We’re thrilled that a number of AMT cast members have returned, gracing our stage once again.  Long-time AMT favorite Wess Cooke is back, along with Angela Walker, Todd Mitchell, Missy Clayton, Michelle Rajotte, John-Philip Bowen, and many others.

Will children enjoy the show?
We think so!  In addition to all the wonderful holiday music and beautiful scenery, the show includes elves, penguins, reindeer, dancing toys, lots of kids, a snowball fight and even Santa Claus!  Children of all ages will find something in the show that is of particular delight to them.

Is a CD of The 2011 Christmas Show available?
Yes!  A great way to remember your visit is to take home a CD of our live, original cast recording of the show.  CDs are available for $15 each (plus tax) at our merchandise table in the lobby before and after the show, and also during intermission.

What are the box office hours?
The box office is open Monday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sundays.  On days where there is an evening show, the box office will remain open until the close of the show.

Do you have a snack bar, and can I take food into the Theatre?
We have a well stocked snack bar that includes sodas, juices, coffee and tea, candy bars, popcorn, soft pretzels, ice cream novelties, seasonal candy, nuts and dried fruit.  In addition, we also offer homemade cookies and warm apple cider in November and December.  We encourage you to take your snacks with you into the show, and all seats have access to a cup holder for your convenience.

When is the gift shop open?
Our gift shop opens about one hour prior to show time, and remains open for about 30 minutes after the last show of the day.

What restaurants and hotels are nearby?
There is a great selection of favorite locally owned, and tried-and-true chain restaurants within a few miles of AMT to choose from.  We’re also fortunate to have a number of hotels close by.  Our Reservations Staff would be happy to make recommendations for both restaurants and hotels, or you may want to visit the “Places to Eat” and “Places to Stay” pages of the PA Dutch Country website at for more options.

I’d like some information about your Gift Cards.
AMT Gift Cards are the perfect choice for anyone who loves music and shows.  They can be purchased in any denomination, never expire, and can be used toward Original Show and Celebrity Concert tickets.  They can also be used in our concession stand and gift shop.  You can purchase AMT Gift Cards at the box office, over the phone, or online by clicking here.  Gift Cards can be redeemed in person, over the phone or online.
